Google Play Store ASO Update: 50 Character Titles
Hot on the heels of Apple's WWDC 2017 App Store 2.0 revelations comes a quiet move by Google to expand the number of characters available in a Play Store app's title for Android developers and marketers.

The two-thirds increase in the number of title characters available from 30 to 50 is huge news for Google Play ASOs, who were significantly more constrained as compared to App Store ASOs when inserting vital keywords into an app's title.
There don't appear to be any other changes made by Google at this time.
The Bottom Line: ASOs now have more precious characters to optimize the most important element of an app's listing (the title). This is likely a Google knee jerk/bow shot as recompense for Android developers who also have iOS apps, after Apple's new subtitle addition.
