Apptimize is a mobile app A/B testing and optimization vendor that provides app developers and marketers with many popular features, including:

  • Instant updates, which allows developers to push hotfixes such as mitigate bugs in live apps
  • Staged rollouts, which allows marketers to push the app in segmented phases to learn and iterate on launch strategy
  • Feature flags to increase user engagement with new features
  • And perhaps one of the coolest features: allowing marketers to build and deploy optimizations or tests without having to queue up in the long line outside their project manager's door asking for additional developer resources.
“Customers are using us to execute on their mobile strategy by deploying totally new features to their audiences” comments Nancy Hua, CEO of Apptimize.

Now, in order to throw a big party to woo potential customers, hire more "badasses across the board" and continue expanding the company and product, Apptimize is raising $12.4 million for a grand total of $18.5 million in funding.

The Bottom Line: Apptimize secures $12.4 million in new funding to continue enabling app developers and marketers to optimize their apps for user engagement, with funding led by US Venture Partners (Partner Dafina Toncheva to join the board of directors), Glynn Capital Management, Goldcrest Investments and Western Technology Investments.
