App Store Optimization Hacks: A/B Testing Google Play Title
Learn this app store optimization hack that allows you to AB test your app’s Google Play title using localizations and pre-post comparison analysis, made easier with Google’s recent Play Console update, which added new localized languages.
Here’s the 3-step process:
- Add a localized version of your store listing in several other countries that share the same language (e.g. EN-CA, EN-AU, EN-UK, EN-US).
- Change your app’s title in each of the same-language localize store listings. While you can A/B test your title in your app’s main store listing localization, using alternative versions enables you to either experiment with smaller audiences and thus less risk, or test multiple titles simultaneously.
- Use acquisition reports for each localized country to measure the performance before and making the change to your app’s title.
