iOS iTunes Connect App Analytics Bugs

Gabe Kwakyi | March 22, 2023

If you thought that your iOS app had suddenly been blessed by the gods with supernaturally high (in fact, impossibly high) retention statistics... We regret to inform you that you are mistaken.

A bug has developed in Apple's iTunes Connect App Analytics reporting, causing app retention numbers to become inflated.

Another bug appears to be affecting the weekly time unit in the iTunes Connect App Analytics metrics view, with weekly grain reports showing 0 impressions and product page views from 2/27/17-3/5/17 and 0 app units from the week following of 3/6/17-3/12/17.

The Bottom Line: Starting around 3/22/17, Apple's iTunes Connect App Analytics dashboard has begun reporting erroneous statistic numbers. Watch for this bug to be resolved before trusting Apple's data.
